Vintage 1990 AMPEG VH140C fully serviced:
This has been my main solid state amp for many years. Over time I have Recapped it, cleaned pots and jacks, reflowed almost every solder joint, and been over every inch of it.
Due to this extra care and always using 8 or 16 ohm speakers, it has never developed the dreaded “volume drop” that these are notorious for.
They are obviously known for their Absolutely brutal gain but the Volume output is capable of just crushing volume in a full stack or stero cab on par with any 100w tube amp.
Serial Number dates it to October of 1990
